Trubek Appointed to Radiation Board

In June, 2016, Governor Greg Abbott appointed seven medical experts to the Texas Radiation Advisory Board, including ARA’s own Dr. Simon Trubek.  The board advises the state on radiation issues and reviews the rules, policies and programs of state agencies that regulate radiation.

Simon Trubek, MD, of Austin is a nuclear medicine radiologist with Austin Radiological Association (ARA). He is a member of the American Board of Radiology and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, among other organizations.

For the past 10 years, Dr. Trubek has filled the office of Radiation Safety Officer at ARA. In this role, he assures that ARA delivers radiology services in the safest way possible and conforms to local, state and national regulations. He is well qualified for the position by his long experience with nuclear medicine, including a Doctor of Medicine and a fellowship in nuclear medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He was also a clinical lecturer at Baylor College of Medicine.
